Generative AI Tools

Hamdard Educus allows the limited use of Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Bard) strictly for grammar correction, language refinement, or idea organization. However, authors must not use AI tools to write full manuscripts, create data, analyze results, generate references, or draw conclusions.

Using AI for generating fake content, citations, or bypassing academic effort is strictly prohibited and may lead to rejection, retraction, or reporting. Authors must clearly disclose any AI use in a footnote or acknowledgment, such as:

“The authors used ChatGPT (OpenAI, 2024) for language editing. All content was reviewed and approved by the authors.”

AI tools must not be credited as authors. Authors are fully responsible for the accuracy and integrity of their work. Editors may use AI for minor tasks (e.g., grammar checks), but all decisions are made by humans.

This policy follows COPE, OpenAIRE, and Scopus ethical standards and applies to all submissions from July 1, 2025 onward.
